Alistair grew up with the dream of being a farmer, he went on to study Agriculture at UKZN. He started his first business in poultry while studying, being an entrepreneur at heart he was constantly on the lookout for opportunities, and identified a need for open and honest communication between farmers and buyers, thus starting Cothrom Commodities. After 5 years in the business, the values on which this company was built remain the same, and his goals continue to grow.
Alistair is extremely passionate about what he does and creating an open, honest and safe way to broker agricultural commodities.

Warren Humphries
Head of Grain Procurement
Warren grew up on a farm in the Natal Midlands, where his family still live, and as a result has a healthy understanding and appreciation of what a farmer's needs are, ensuring the farmer is always front of mind at Cothrom.
Before working with us, he was the production manager at a seedling nursery for 4 years, thereafter he moved into a technical role at a well-known Agrochemical company focusing on crop yield improvements and agronomy for 6 years. This background gives Warren a competitive edge to his role of heading up grain procurement at Cothrom Commodities, he is a valuable asset to the team.

George Harris
Sales Representative
George grew up in the agricultural space, which has instilled in him a deep appreciation for farming and sustainable practices. He pursued studies in conservation, gaining a strong understanding of the importance of preserving resources while supporting agricultural growth.
With plenty of experience in the online trading space, He has honed his skills in navigating digital platforms and the dynamics of the market.
His experience in commodity trading has further broadened his knowledge and ability to manage and assess various commodities effectively.
George prides himself on transparent communication and feedback with farmers, always striving to foster trust and understanding. Building long-term relationships with farmers is at the core of his approach, ensuring that we work together toward mutual success and sustainable growth.

With a background in project management and new product development, Bridgitte has joined the Cothrom team to assist Alistair, Warren and George and carry out daily tasks at Cothrom, giving the gents the time they need to provide you with the kind of service our farmers and buyers have come to expect at Cothrom Commodities.
